The GW16159 from Gateworks is an industrial 802.11ah Wi-Fi HaLow M.2 card designed for long-range, low-power IoT applications. Operating in the 903.5–926.5 MHz sub-GHz band, it delivers significantly greater range than traditional 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi.
Based on the Morse Micro MM6108 SoC, it supports data rates up to 32.5 Mbps, 1/2/4/8 MHz bandwidth, and both access point and station modes. Advanced security (WPA2, WPA3), FOTA support, and standard Linux IP integration make it ready for professional IoT deployments.
With up to +26.5 dBm transmit power and an operating range of –40°C to +85°C, it is built for industrial environments. The module uses an M.2 E-Key (2242) form factor with SDIO signaling and is compatible only with VeniceFLEX SBCs.
For USB-based designs, the GW16167 with the newer MM8108 chipset is available as an alternative.
